Job Summary
Facilitate all required skill labs with an assistant skill instructor and assist in student learning outcomes by following an established course outline. Grade class assignments and exams while maintaining current knowledge in subject matter areas including A&P, medical terminology, pharmacology, and medical math. Mentor students and hold them accountable to program standards while maintaining appropriate standards of professionalism and conduct. Work Monday through Friday on rotating days from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM in Fairfield, CA. No teaching experience required; one year of medical assistant experience is necessary.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a directly related field
- Must be available: Monday- Friday (2-3 rotating days)- 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
- Location: Fairfield, CA
- Familiar with A&P, Medical Terminology, Basic Pharmacology and Medical Math
- Front office experience
- Back office procedures EKG, Urine, Vitals, BPs, Temps, Injections, Adult-Pediatric, minor wound trays, and bandaging experience
- Must be energetic and able to deliver instruction passionately
- Ability to mentor students and hold them accountable to program standards
- Comfortable with computers and technology
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Current CPR certification
Desired Qualifications
- Career Technical Education or similar teaching credential preferred
