Job Summary
Part-time Clinical Medical Assistant Skills Assistant responsible for supporting student instruction in CALRegional's healthcare-training programs, following a set course outline, aiding skill labs, and mentoring students; must have 1 year MA experience, knowledge of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, pharmacology, medical math, front and back office skills, EKG, vitals, injections, and wound care; CPR certification required; available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00pm to 9:00pm; location in San Jose, CA; pay between $20 and $25 per hour; program runs 8-10 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a directly related field required
- Familiar with A&P, Medical Terminology, Basic Pharmacology and Medical Math
- Front office experience
- Back office procedures EKG, Urine, Vitals, BPs, Temps, Injections, Adult-Pediatric, minor wound trays, and bandaging experience
- No teaching experience required
- Must be energetic and able to deliver instruction passionately
- Ability to mentor students and hold them accountable to program standards
- Comfortable with computers and technology
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Current CPR certification
