Job Summary
Clinical Medical Assistant in AICA Orthopedics' Decatur clinic. Responsibilities include patient rooming, obtaining histories and vital signs, preparing patients for exams, assisting with procedures, administering injections, preparing medications, educating patients on treatment plans, performing X-rays with provided training, forming and maintaining HIPAA-compliant NextGen EHR documentation, managing medication inventory, and ensuring organized clinical areas. Requires graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or Military Medical Specialist with CMA/RMA or equivalent certification (or working toward it), EHR proficiency (NextGen preferred), reliable transportation, ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs, and 2+ years MA experience in a clinical setting. Preferred X-ray/ARRT certification and bilingual English/Spanish.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Military Medical Specialist
- CMA, RMA, or equivalent — or actively working toward it
- EHR proficiency; NextGen preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, bend and stoop regularly
- X-ray or ARRT certification — top-of-range pay consideration
- 2+ years MA experience in a clinical setting
- Orthopedic, multi-specialty, or personal injury experience
- Bilingual English and Spanish
