Job Summary
Conduct advanced student learning through exemplary instruction by following an established course outline and facilitating required skill labs with an assistant skill instructor. Assist in student learning outcomes while maintaining current knowledge in subject matter areas and effective teaching strategies. Grade class assignments and exams, mentor students, and hold them accountable to program standards. Maintain appropriate standards of professionalism and conduct throughout the 8-10 week program. This part-time role requires weekday evening availability from Monday-Thursday, 5:00 pm-8:30 pm, in Bloomington, CA. Candidates must have five years of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a directly related field, including front and back-office procedures such as EKGs, injections, and wound care.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a directly related field
- Familiar with A&P, Medical Terminology, Basic Pharmacology and Medical Math
- Front office experience
- Back-office procedures EKG, Urine, Vitals, BPs, Temps, Injections, Adult-Pediatric, minor wound trays, and bandaging experience
- Must be energetic and able to deliver instruction passionately
- Ability to mentor students and hold them accountable to program standards
- Comfortable with computers and technology
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Current CPR certification
- Applicants must be available during our weekday evening schedule
- Schedule: Monday-Thursday 5:00 pm-8:30 pm
