Job Summary
Ensures operating rooms have the equipment, implants, and inventory needed for surgical cases; coordinates with surgeons, vendors, value analysis, supply chain, sterile processing, tissue banks, surgical services, and business management; posts cases and reviews charges; reorders implants or grafts; manages tissue management per Joint Commission/FDA requirements; monitors OR equipment; maintains supplier relations and handles EMR/inventory systems (EPIC, OneReport, Tecsys, Lawson); serves as primary contact for the electronic inventory system focusing on Physician Preference items; collaborates with physicians to plan and evaluate care; requires clinical experience and inventory management skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Associate degree or post-secondary education preferred
- Three to five years of experience as a LPN, Surgical Technologist, or in inventory management
