Job Summary
Clinical Manager responsible for directing unit traffic and patient flow, coordinating bed management with ER/ICU, and allocating resources based on patient acuity. Leads HR functions including staff scheduling, conflict resolution, and staff development through in-service education. Oversees performance tracking, annual goal setting, and formal reviews for nurses and technical staff. Ensures audit readiness, incident investigations, infection control, patient experience improvements (HCAHPS), and adherence to quality, safety, and compliance standards. Manages budget variance, supply chain decisions, and strategic growth planning for new service lines, while balancing labor costs and use of travel nurses. Proficient with EHR and healthcare management software.
Required Qualifications
- Education: PA/NP or a Master’s degree (preferred) or a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or Nursing (MHA, MBA, or MSN)
- Experience: Typically 395 5 years of clinical experience, often in a hospital or leadership role
- Certifications: CCM or CHFM - preferred
- Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR) and healthcare management software
