Job Summary
Directly supervise, manage, and oversee a team of Clinical Supervisors, including hiring, firing, and providing performance evaluations. Monitor clinical employees' adherence to CareStar, program, and State performance standards, addressing consumer and agency concerns or complaints as needed. Oversee high-risk situations or problematic cases, advise administration appropriately, and ensure all services are submitted to Finance for billing. Participate in quality improvement activities, including committee meetings and project teams, while assisting with agency educational training and staff development. Fulfill Clinical Supervisor role in absence and serve on work groups or task forces as requested.
Required Qualifications
- Current/active license as a Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Independent Social Worker or Registered Nurse
- Must obtain their Certified Case Manager (CCM) within one year of being in the position
- At least 36 months of experience in a home and community-based services environment
- Valid driver's license and car insurance as required by State law
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in business or a health-related field preferred
- 24 months of experience in data analysis, data trending, accounting or financial analysis desirable
- Ability to supervise, instruct, counsel and evaluate a team
- Effective interpersonal skills with respect for others, including consumers, coworkers and other professionals within a diverse work environment
- Extensive knowledge of community resources
- Familiarity with quality improvement processes
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, insurance and waiver programs
- Effective oral and written communication skills with attention to detail in assessment and in documentation
- Excellent organizational practices with ability to multi-task
- Exercises independent judgment and decision-making, critical thinking and problem solving skills and takes initiative
- Demonstrates flexibility in relationship to job requirements
- Computer skills sufficient to enter and process consumer information, report preparation, analysis of trends and use CareStar's website and email, familiarity with suite of Microsoft Office programs
