Job Summary
Clinical Manager role supervising nursing staff in a long-term care facility, requiring active Ohio RN/LPN license and prior nursing leadership experience. Responsible for directing and motivating staff, implementing resident care services of the highest quality, ensuring compliance with government requirements, and maintaining a safe, caring environment. Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and regulatory bodies; possess strong emotional intelligence and adapt to changing circumstances. On-call rotation with occasional evenings and weekends; day shift support with full-time hours; coordinate with the Director of Nursing and leadership team to uphold nursing best practices and survey readiness. Must maintain good standing with the Ohio Board of Nursing and have proficiency in PCC, Word, Excel, Outlook, and related government and MDS/charting systems.
Required Qualifications
- Active Ohio RN/LPN license, required
- Long term care experience, required
- Experience in management or nursing leadership, preferred
- Proficient computer skills: PCC, Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, Government agencies, MDS and Medical charting capability
- Proven knowledge of nursing best practices and government/ODH requirements for Survey compliance
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public
- Must have highly developed emotional intelligence to manage competing priorities, as well as emergent and difficult situations, and flexibility to adjust to changing circumstances
- Ensure a safe environment and culture of caring for residents at the highest level
- Represent Fairlawn with understanding the organizational goals and needs of the future
- Must be in good standing with Ohio Board of Nursing
