Job Summary
Coordinate and oversee all direct and indirect patient services provided by clinical organization personnel while managing clinical teams and planning. Provide guidance and counseling to coordinators and clinical staff to continually improve home health care services, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws regarding licensure and certification. Manage clinical performance evaluations, hire and terminate personnel, and develop skills and techniques for evaluating clinicians. Oversee maintenance of patient clinical records, statistics, and reports to evaluate organization activities, while ensuring proper inventory supplies and equipment for patient services. Interpret operational indicators to detect census changes and adjust staffing levels, revenues, or expenses accordingly. Plan and implement in-service and continuing education programs to meet training needs of organization personnel. Conduct annual clinical performance evaluations and assist with organization performance via performance improvement programs. Develop, implement, and evaluate orientation programs for new personnel and administer organization policies and procedures. Stay informed about changes in nursing and home health care fields and promote home health referrals in the health care community. Manage safety concerns for clients and clinicians, escalating when appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Current licensure to practice discipline in the state of Minnesota
- Minimum of three years of experience working with people in the second half of life
- Minimum of five years of experience in Hospice
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel
- Experience teaching, training, and evaluating clinical staff
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience in customer service/direct client contact field preferred
