Job Summary
Coordinate referrals and pre-admission processes for inpatient rehabilitation, conducting thorough on-site clinical evaluations including chart reviews, physical screenings, and interviews with patients, families, and care teams. Secure insurance authorizations and negotiate workers' compensation placements while communicating admission decisions and transition timelines to referral sources. Maintain reports on referrals, admissions, and census data, and provide input into market analyses to support facility growth. Available for days shifts as needed to cover weekends, PTO, and vacation. Requires a current Florida license in Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker, plus two years of clinical experience.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited school
- Licensed in a health-care related field
- Minimum of two (2) years of Clinical experience
- Demonstrated skills in clinical assessment
- Demonstrated skills in marketing
- Professional level of knowledge in physician relations
- Interfacing with insurance companies
- Extensive knowledge of local provider and medical communities
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work harmoniously with other personnel
- Ability to deal tactfully with patients, hospital staff and the general public
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Current license as Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker in State of Florida
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Ability to be available for occasional evenings for marketing events, weekend coverage, and routine day travel
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in acute care or rehab
