Job Summary
Advocate for referred patients during pre-admission by collaborating with clinical teams to assess needs and coordinate care plans with physicians and families. Serve as a resource for healthcare professionals by fostering relationships with case managers, physicians, and clinicians in acute care hospitals. Create target lists of contacts in assigned facilities, develop professional relationships, and educate referral sources on rehabilitation services. Manage the referral process on-site at referring hospitals, facilitate patient transfers, and address barriers to accessing specialized post-acute care. Demonstrate positive referrer satisfaction and account retention while supporting Sales and Marketing through educational programs and tours. Develop strategies to grow market share in core business lines, set quarterly goals, and identify opportunities for expanding strategic business initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist
- Multi-state licensure based on geographical territory
Desired Qualifications
- Two years related experience working in a clinical healthcare setting
- Previous experience working in a clinical liaison role
- Demonstrated competency with the preadmission process including assessments and relationship building in a rehabilitation setting or in another post-acute care setting
- Proven track record in sales and marketing with at least one year experience in a related position
- Demonstrated computer proficiency
- Sound judgment in handling professional/confidential nature of health care sales
