Job Summary
Conduct and organize the Orthopaedic Clinical team within theatre, managing list runs, booking forms, and assisting sessions. Coordinate activity across suites including Endoscopy, General, Gynae, ENT, Recovery, and Anaesthetics to meet service demands. Promote clinical risk management, governance, and quality improvement while overseeing audits, equipment, and surgical techniques. Support and deputise for the Clinical Head of Department, ensuring seamless patient care and safety through effective MDT communication. Champion staff safety, education, and a supportive working culture. Full-time permanent role, 37.5 hours per week, up to £52,500 per annum.
Required Qualifications
- Registered with the appropriate governing body
- Relevant qualifications
- Post registration in surgery/anaesthetics experience
- Experience as a Registered Nurse
- Experience as an HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner
- Strong clinical leadership
- Good communication skills
- Organisational skills
- Knowledge and understanding of running a smooth & effective department
- Equipment knowledge
- SFA or SCP experience
- Extensive knowledge required for dealing with audits
- Equipment knowledge (audits context)
