Job Summary
Manage daily clinical operations by reviewing patient and physician schedules, assigning clinical space, and monitoring clinic flow while interfacing with facility staff. Enhance patient experience by investigating complaints, drawing conclusions, and contacting patients for satisfaction resolutions. Provide training and guidance to clinical staff, oversee performance reviews, and monitor the daily routine of technical personnel. Review reports to determine clinic needs, verify workflows, and identify areas of waste or efficiency opportunities. Oversee clinical equipment maintenance by coordinating a maintenance program for timely repairs and proper functioning. Ensure compliance with standard medical practice to manage and minimize risk while resolving medical-administrative problems. Maintain professional affiliations to stay current in healthcare trends and develop positive relationships with providers. Work Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of health care and medical procedures
- Knowledge of ophthalmic terminology and procedures
- Interpersonal/human relations skills
- Attentiveness to details
- Ability to initiate, prioritize, and follow through on tasks and projects
- Ability to respond to questions in a tactful and professional manner
- Ability to use an electronic health record application
- Ability to use a personal computer with various software programs
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proven experience with effective hiring and motivating and managing a team
- Strong staff relations skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, Health Administration, Nursing, or related healthcare field
- Must have the ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when receiving instructions from physicians or others, reading and interpreting procedures and related materials; examining and closely inspecting materials when using equipment; and working one-on-one with patients
- Leadership qualities, diplomacy, discretion, ability to enforce difficult positions, excellent communication, public speaking skills, and exceptional interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite; in particular Excel
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Ophthalmic Technician licensure or another medical licensure preferred
