Job Summary
Clinical Laboratory Technologist in Special Chemistry at Labcorp in Dublin, OH responsible for evaluating specimens for testing, performing routine and complex procedures per SOPs, monitoring and troubleshooting instrumentation, making technical testing decisions, preparing and evaluating reagents/controls, reporting accurate results to support quality patient care, performing preventative maintenance and QC, replenishing bench supplies, assisting with specimen processing, and maintaining a safe, compliant work environment. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a chemical/biological science or MLS, 1+ year of clinical lab testing (or MLS), and ASCP/AMT certification preferred. Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, computer proficiency, and adaptability to overtime or shift changes are expected. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
- 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree
- ASCP or AMT certification preferred
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Proficient with computers; Laboratory information systems experience
- Color vision ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
