Job Summary
Perform and monitor quality control and patient samples, attend in-services, record problems, and notify the manager or pathologist of abnormalities. Execute specialized procedures under the supervision of the manager and pathologist within the Laboratory Department. Maintain compliance with New York State licensure requirements, including 12 continuing education credits annually, and promptly report any certification or licensure status issues to the employer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field, from an accredited institution
- MT (ASCP) registered or eligible
- NY State License for Clinical Laboratory Technologist
