Job Summary
Perform clinical laboratory tests proficiently under general supervision, handling specimen acceptance, preparation, and analysis using approved procedures. Execute quality control on reagents and equipment, document corrective actions for system deviations, and prepare stock solutions per SOP guidelines. Review and release test results, reporting STATS or critical findings to the interpreting physician as required. Maintain accurate records of all testing, proficiency samples, and specimen-related problems while adhering to established guidelines. Operate in the Fort Myers, FL FISH department with dayshift rotations (5x8 Tue-Sat or 4x10 Wed-Sat) to support NeoGenomics' mission of improving patient care through exceptional laboratory work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in one of the chemical, physical, or biological sciences with the addition of at least one year of laboratory experience/training/training course
- 1+ years equivalent experience (high complexity testing)
- ASCP certification for the assigned specialty, as available
- current state license to perform laboratory testing = Clinical Laboratory Technologist
- current state license to perform laboratory testing = Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Cytogeneticist Scientist or Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology from an accredited college or university preferred
