Job Summary
LabCorp is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist – Molecular Genetics to join our RTP, NC team. Responsibilities include determining specimen acceptability, performing routine and complex procedures per SOPs, monitoring and troubleshooting instrumentation, making technical testing decisions, preparing and evaluating reagents/controls, reporting accurate test results to support quality patient care, performing preventative maintenance and quality control, replenishing testing bench supplies, assisting with specimen processing, maintaining a safe work environment with PPE, and collaborating with others in a fast-paced clinical laboratory setting. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science or related field with clinical lab experience or MLS, and may possess ASCP or AMT certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
- 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree
- Preferred: ASCP or AMT certification
- Pass color vision screen
- Ability to work overtime or other shifts as needed
