Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Job Summary
Clinical Lab Professional responsibilities include determining the acceptability of specimens for testing, performing routine and complex procedures per SOPs, monitoring and troubleshooting instrumentation, making technical testing decisions, preparing and evaluating reagents/controls, reporting accurate test results to support patient care, conducting preventive maintenance and quality control, replenishing supplies, and maintaining a safe work environment with proper PPE. The role is per diem/part-time and located in Clanton, AL, with opportunities to work in a high-volume laboratory setting and collaborate within a team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology
- 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree
- ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems
- Proficient with computers
- High attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to pass a color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
