Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Hematology

Job Summary
Perform acceptability screening of specimens and execute routine and complex laboratory procedures per established SOPs. Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation to ensure proper function; make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving. Prepare and evaluate reagents/controls, report accurate results to support quality patient care, and maintain documentation of preventive maintenance and quality control. Identify and replenish testing supplies, assist with specimen processing as needed, and uphold a safe work environment with appropriate PPE. New grads welcome with full training. Requires attention to detail, teamwork, computer proficiency, and ability to work overtime or alternate shifts as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
- ASCP or AMT certification
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
