Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Core Lab

Clinical Laboratory Technologist for Core Lab at UT Knoxville Medical Center. Responsibilities include determining specimen acceptability for testing, performing routine and complex procedures per SOPs, monitoring and troubleshooting instrumentation to ensure proper functionality, making technical decisions regarding testing, preparing and evaluating reagents/controls, reporting accurate test results to support quality patient care, and performing preventative maintenance and quality control. Also responsibilities include identifying and replenishing testing bench supplies, assisting with specimen processing when needed, maintaining a safe work environment with appropriate PPE, and supporting a high-volume laboratory setting. Minimum Qualifications require a Bachelor's degree in a chemical or biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology, and 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience or an MLS degree; preferred ASCP or AMT certification.
