Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Core Lab

Job Summary
Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures in a high-volume core lab. Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing, monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation, and make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving. Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls; report accurate and timely test results to support quality patient care. Maintain quality control, perform preventive maintenance, manage supplies, and assist with specimen processing. Ensure a safe work environment and proper PPE use; be able to pass a color vision test and potentially work overtime or other shifts as needed. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science or clinical laboratory science, MLS degree option, and FL MT license; preferred ASCP or AMT certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology
- 1 or more years of clinical laboratory testing experience is required OR an MLS degree
- FL Medical Technologist (MT) license
