Job Summary
Technologist to join Labcorp team at UT Knoxville Medical Center in Knoxville, TN performing specimen acceptability, routine and complex procedures per SOPs, instrument troubleshooting, reagent evaluation, reporting results, QC, preventative maintenance, and supply replenishment; collaborate in high-volume clinical laboratory operations, with the ability to work independently and within a team, including night shift (Mon-Fri 10:30 pm–7:00 am) with rotating weekends; must have Bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science or Medical Technology/MLS, 1+ year of lab testing experience (or MLS), and may require ASCP or AMT certification; accurate documentation, color vision testing, and adaptability to overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
- 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree
- ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
