Job Summary
Determine specimen acceptability, perform routine and complex technical procedures, and monitor instrumentation to ensure proper functionality. Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls while reporting accurate results to deliver quality patient care. Document preventative maintenance, quality control procedures, and bench supply replenishment. Maintain a safe work environment by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and assist with specimen processing as needed. Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology with one year of clinical laboratory testing experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
- 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience
- ASCP or AMT certification
- Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
- Experience working in a high volume laboratory environment
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Proficient with computers
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
- Tuesday - Saturday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Desired Qualifications
- 3 months or more of clinical laboratory testing experience
- Non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards
