Job Summary
Labcorp seeks a Technologist Trainee on the Biological Monitoring team in Burlington, NC. Responsibilities include evaluating specimen acceptability, performing routine and complex procedures per SOPs, operating and troubleshooting instrumentation, making technical testing decisions, preparing/evaluating reagents and controls, reporting accurate test results to support patient care, performing preventative maintenance and QC, replenishing supplies, assisting with specimen processing, and maintaining a safe work environment. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science or related field; ASCP or AMT certification preferred; ability to work independently and in a team; proficiency with computers and lab information systems; attention to detail and strong communication/organizational skills; color blindness screening; and flexibility for overtime or different shifts. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
