Job Summary
Clinical Laboratory Technologist Trainee on the Allergy team in Burlington, NC. Responsibilities include determining specimen acceptability, performing routine and complex procedures per SOPs, monitoring and troubleshooting instrumentation, making technical testing decisions, preparing and evaluating reagents/controls, reporting accurate test results to support quality patient care, performing preventive maintenance and quality control, replenishing testing bench supplies, assisting with specimen processing, maintaining a safe work environment with PPE, and supporting overtime or other shifts as needed. New grads are welcome and full training is provided; candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a chemical or biological science or medical technology and relevant laboratory experience or certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems
- High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
