Job Summary
Clinical Laboratory Technician - Hematology responsible for determining specimen acceptability, performing routine and complex procedures per SOPs, operating and troubleshooting instrumentation, making technical testing decisions, preparing/testing new reagents, reporting accurate results for quality patient care, performing preventative maintenance and QC, replenishing supplies, aiding specimen processing, and maintaining a safe work environment. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science or related field; ASCP/AMT certification preferred; strong attention to detail, teamwork, proficiency with computers/LIS, ability to pass a color blindness test, and flexibility for overtime or other shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
- ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
