Job Summary
Laboratory role performing acceptance of specimens for testing and executing routine and complex procedures per SOPs; monitor and troubleshoot instrumentation; make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving; prepare, test and evaluate new reagents/controls; report accurate results to support patient care; perform quality control and preventive maintenance; maintain supplies and safety protocols; contribute to a high-volume, production-based lab environment in Birmingham, AL.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology
- ASCP or AMT certification
- 2 years or more of clinical laboratory testing experience
