Clinical Laboratory Team Lead - Consumer Genetics

Job Summary
Lead support for department operations, supervise/train staff, and prepare reports. Ensure specimen acceptability per criteria, perform routine/complex procedures per SOPs, monitor and troubleshoot instrumentation, prepare/evaluate reagents, and deliver accurate test results for patient care. Maintain quality control, manage supplies, ensure a safe work environment with PPE, and assist with specimen processing. Role requires Associate’s degree in a related science, clinical lab experience, and ability to lead a team; ASCP/AMT certifications preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
- 2 years or more of clinical laboratory testing experience
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to pass a color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
Desired Qualifications
- ASCP AMT Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological science (preferred)
- 6 months+ supervising or leading a team (preferred)
