Clinical Laboratory Team Lead - Biological Monitoring

Job Summary
Assist with day-to-day department operations by sending daily, weekly, and monthly production reports to management. Perform routine and complex technical procedures, determine specimen acceptability, and operate instrumentation to ensure proper functionality. Prepare and evaluate new reagents or controls, document preventive maintenance, and replenish bench supplies as needed. Train new hires, monitor employee performance, and maintain a safe work environment while adhering to SOPs and CLIA standards. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant science, six years of clinical laboratory testing experience, and proficiency with laboratory information systems. Schedule is Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00am-6:00pm.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
- 6 years or more of clinical laboratory testing experience
- Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
- 6 years or more of clinical laboratory testing experience
- Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
- Experience working in a high volume laboratory environment
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Proficient with computers
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems
- High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortability making decisions in a changing environment
- Able to handle the physical requirements of the position
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
- Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00am-6:00pm
Desired Qualifications
- ASCP and/or AMT Certifications
- 6 months or more of supervising or leading a team
- In lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirements
- Preferred Qualifications ASCP and/or AMT Certifications
- 6 months or more of supervising or leading a team
