Job Summary
Lead the Allergy laboratory team at Labcorp, assisting the supervisor with day-to-day operations, generating production reports, training staff, and ensuring quality and timely test results. Responsible for determining specimen acceptability, performing routine and complex procedures per SOPs, monitoring instrumentation, evaluating reagents/controls, maintaining QA/QC, maintaining supplies, processing specimens when needed, and upholding a safe work environment with appropriate PPE. Requires the ability to supervise or lead a team, communicate effectively, work in a high-volume lab, and adapt to overtime or shift needs as business requires.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
- 5 years or more of clinical laboratory testing experience
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
Desired Qualifications
- ASCP Certification
- AMT Certification
- 6 months or more of supervising or leading a team
