Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Part-time regular, Day Shift)

Job Summary
Performs and oversees a wide variety of clinical laboratory tests on diverse specimens, reviews and reports results, and upholds patient confidentiality and HIPAA standards. Responsibilities include phlebotomy as needed, sample handling, QA/QC checks, and timely communication of critical values. Trains and supervises trainees and clerical staff, maintains equipment and supplies, and conducts instrument maintenance and calibration. Ensures accurate test interpretation by correlating results with diagnoses, documents findings, and participates in performance improvement initiatives. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a valid CA CLS license; ASCP/NCA certification is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, biological sciences, chemical sciences or allied health technologies or equivalent (Required)
- Valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license in state of employment (CA) (Required)
