Job Summary
Clinical Laboratory Scientist on the night shift in Irvine, CA responsible for ensuring tests requested by physicians are performed accurately and timely, following laboratory policies and procedures, handling specimens correctly, maintaining patient and specimen identification, performing routine and new test procedures with professional judgment, calibrating instruments, maintaining quality control records, and communicating effectively with nurses and physicians while supporting the Lead CLS. Requires a Bachelor's degree, California General Supervisor license, and CLIA high-complexity eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in medical technology, microbiology, chemistry, biology or related field
- Possession of General Supervisor license issued by the State of California
- Must meet CLIA requirements for testing personnel for High Complexity Testing
