Job Summary
Perform CLIA waived and non-waived testing, verify and report laboratory results, and troubleshoot assay performance issues per established guidelines. Execute analyzer maintenance, calibration, and quality control procedures while maintaining department inventory and completing proficiency testing for regulatory compliance. Assist with clerical and specimen-processing duties, validate new equipment, and partner with educators to train students and new employees. This part-time role involves Saturdays and PM shifts with an 80% standing requirement. The Clinical Laboratory Scientist reports to the Laboratory Supervisor within Washington Regional Medical System's Fayetteville facility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biological Science, or Chemical Science
- Eligible to test for ASCP, AMT or equivalent certification
- Current qualifications with CLIA'88 regulations
- 1-year medical laboratory experience
