Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)

Conduct waived, moderate, and highly complex tests in hematology, blood bank, chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, microbiology, and immunology while adhering to collection, processing, and reporting protocols. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on instruments and equipment, review patient results for accuracy before release, and document corrective actions when systems deviate from performance specifications. Execute venipuncture or capillary puncture across age groups, recognize age-specific result differences, and collaborate with other labs on proficiency testing samples. Assist in developing laboratory policies and procedures, maintain safety and infection control standards, and serve as Lead Tech during shifts when no supervisor is present. Perform point-of-care testing (POCT) as assigned.
