Job Summary
Contract Part-time Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) for prenatal testing using Unity non-invasive prenatal test (NIPT). Perform clinical laboratory assays, quality control, instrument verification/calibration, data documentation, troubleshooting, training, and process improvement in a high-complexity CLIA setting. Requires Bachelor's degree in sciences and a California CLS License; 0-2 years CLS experience. On-site contract position in Union City, CA with flexible weekend shifts; target hourly rate $70. This role contributes to end-to-end processing of pregnancy blood samples and supports the company’s prenatal diagnostics initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical or biological sciences
- 0-2 years as CLS in a clinical setting
- California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License meeting CLIA regulations (42 CFR, part 493)
- Advanced knowledge of Google Docs, Word, Excel; familiarity with LIMS systems
- Strong attention to detail; able to work under time constraints
- Self-starter and team player with strong verbal and written skills
