Clinical Laboratory Assistant

Clinical Lab Assistant needed at Sentara Leigh Hospital to be the primary point of contact for specimen entry into the laboratory, label, process, and distribute based on testing orders, monitor supply levels in the specimen processing area, and operate/maintain laboratory equipment while handling internal and external inquiries from hospital staff and providers. Works full-time on nights (11p-7:30a) with interaction across clinical teams and support for patient care operations. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; healthcare experience preferred. Responsibilities include managing specimen labeling and entry, assisting with equipment operations, and ensuring efficient workflow and communication with nursing facilities and physician offices.
