Clinical Laboratory Assistant - Atrium Health Charlotte FT Days

Performs phlebotomy and specimen handling in a clinical laboratory setting. Collects and processes patient blood samples by venipuncture and capillary puncture; handles nonblood specimens timely and accurately; assists with specimen preparation, receipt, transport, and patient registration. Maintains documentation and uses laboratory information systems; trains new team members and students; processes routine tests across chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, and immunology. Reports abnormal results to clinical staff, ensures sterile technique and infection control, maintains supplies and equipment, and adheres to safety policies and OSHA regulations. Work is in the Core Lab - Specimen Management with a 40-hour, full-time schedule, Monday–Friday 9:30am–6:00pm with rotating weekends and holidays.
