Clinical Laboratory Accessioner(CL)(99)

Receives, sorts, and performs accurate data entry for all specimens entering the laboratory. Processes written and electronic requests from physicians for routine, STAT, and special laboratory tests while following specific handling requirements. Identifies adverse situations impacting test performance, rejects incorrect specimens, and retests using alternate methods. Screens and directs phone calls, retrieves and prints test results, and files all related laboratory paperwork. Requires two years of accessioning experience and working knowledge of computer systems including MILLENNIUM, CLASSIC, INVISION, and E-PATHLINK. Hours are 2a-10a Tuesdays through Saturdays with rotation of other days and holidays as needed.
