Job Summary
The Clinical Lab Technologist will perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on samples (blood, tissue, and other bodily fluids) using automated and manual methods, operate and calibrate instruments, analyze results, and document findings in laboratory information systems. The role requires collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to discuss test outcomes, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and participation in quality control and proficiency testing to maintain accreditation. Continuous learning and staying current with advancing laboratory technologies and regulatory standards are essential to support accurate diagnostics and patient care. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (e.g., ASCP, AMT) or eligibility to obtain certification
- Knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and quality control standards
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems and data management
- Ability to comply with safety and regulatory requirements in a clinical laboratory environment
