Clinical Lab Specialist

Job Summary

Conduct clinical and radiopharmaceutical product manufacturing, compounding, and quality control in compliance with State and Federal regulations. Perform testing in allergy, clinical chemistry, and hematology areas using analytical equipment such as TLC, HPLC, and GC. Execute complex compounding activities including cyclotron operation under supervision, while conducting daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly preventive maintenance on all equipment. Support logistics by preparing products for shipment and coordinating courier schedules, and maintain accurate batch records and QC documentation. Adhere to cGMP, cGLP, CLIA, and CAP requirements while participating in internal audits and inspections. This role requires a CLS license, a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field, and experience in sterile or clean room environments. Night shifts and alternating schedules are required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field
  • 16 semester hours of chemistry, including analytical and biological chemistry
  • 16 semester hours of biological sciences, including microbiology, hematology, and immunology
  • 3 semester hours of physics, math, or statistics
  • Experience working in a sterile or clean room laboratory/environment
  • CLS license or applicable laboratory certification
  • You can lift up to 100Lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the clinic, if applicable, for extended periods
  • Occasionally lift objects up to 25 lbs
  • bend, stoop, or reach as needed
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for patient care and equipment operation
  • Must have normal (or corrected) vision and hearing
  • be able to respond quickly in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Willing to work night shifts and alternating shifts as needed

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in clinical laboratory, radiopharmacy, or regulated manufacturing environments
  • Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation (TLC, HPLC, GC)
