The Clinical Lab Scientist-Transfusion performs and interprets moderate and high complexity tests, reports results, prepares blood products while following standard operating procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices, under general supervision. Responsibilities include instrument calibration, troubleshooting, mentoring staff, and ensuring test production meets turnaround time goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field
- Minimum three years of experience in high complexity, computerized clinical laboratory
- California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) Generalist MTA
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with automated Blood Bank testing instruments
- Experience with smart blood dispensing fridges
- Minimum one year of Blood Bank only experience
