Job Summary
Performs standardized and specialized laboratory testing across chemistry, immunology, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, and blood bank. Ensures accurate, reliable, and timely test results through pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases; supports patient diagnosis and clinical decision-making; utilizes computer/phone systems for communication and workflow; builds professional, empathetic service experiences for customers. On-site role at Foothill Regional Medical Center in Tustin, CA; part-time per diem with variable shifts and overtime; requires California CLS licensure and a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or equivalent; strong English communication and color discrimination skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology / Clinical Laboratory Science / Biological Science or equivalent
- Current Licensure as a CLS in the State of California
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the hospital
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Must be willing to work variable shifts and overtime as required
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Ability to identify and distinguish colors
