Job Summary
Responsible for performing and reporting laboratory tests efficiently and accurately in assigned areas of the laboratory. Evaluates and reports test results, performs quality control, and maintains laboratory instruments. Assists in training new personnel and instructing students, while contributing to a positive work environment. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science and be certified by ASCP, with the ability to obtain a TN State License.
Required Qualifications
- Clinical Lab Science degree certified by ASCP or equivalent
- MT/CLS (ASCP) or equivalent
- TN State License within six months of hire date
- Knowledge through education, training, and/or experience to perform technical duties
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in laboratory settings
- Knowledge of hospital and departmental policies and procedures
Additional Requirements
- Must obtain TN State License within six months of hire date
- Must complete continuing education as required by State of not less than 12 CE hours annually
