Job Summary
Clinical Lab Scientist II position in MarinHealth Laboratories-Clinical performing clinical laboratory procedures. Requires a BA/BS in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or related science, and CLS-L licensure with IAMTAC training within 30 days of hire. At least three years of hospital laboratory experience or three years with Marin General Hospital. Responsibilities include executing laboratory test procedures, maintaining instrumentation and quality control, data entry, supporting proficiency testing (CAP surveys), and contributing to team-based patient care in a hospital setting. Must be capable of multi-tasking, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and adhering to safety and HIPAA requirements. Hands-on duties span multiple lab disciplines and may involve training and staff development as needed; C.A.R.E.S. standards and vaccination requirements are noted by the employer.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science, or other related science
- Minimum of completed pre-licensure training in California State Department Public Health accredited training program
- Minimum of three years of general laboratory experience in a hospital or acute care setting or three (3) continuous years with Marin General Hospital
- Lic Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS-L) required at hire
- Integrative Agitation Management (IAMTAC) required within 30 days of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred at hire
