Job Summary
Responsible for performing and reporting laboratory tests efficiently and accurately in a designated area under supervision. Essential functions include evaluating and reporting test results, performing quality control, maintaining records, troubleshooting equipment, assisting in instrument evaluation, and managing supplies. Requires proficiency in medical technology from an ASCP accredited program, MLT (ASCP) certification, Tennessee licensure, and two years of relevant experience. Continuing education is mandated.
Required Qualifications
- MLT (ASCP) or equivalent
- Tennessee licensure as Medical Technologist (General or Specific)
- Technologist (single discipline) by ASCP or NCA or equivalent
- Two years full time experience
Desired Qualifications
- Professional/Technical continuing education of not less than 12 CE hours annually
- Continuing education in new laboratory procedures and tests
Additional Requirements
- Must show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to start date
- Must follow accommodation precautions to mitigate the spread of illness if exempt from vaccination
