Job Summary
Perform installation, configuration, calibration, verification, and repair of all company instrumentation and automation platforms. Serve as the on-site expert for complex mechanical, electrical, software, and IT interface issues, conducting preventive maintenance, system upgrades, and instrument performance evaluations. Troubleshoot assay- or workflow-related issues, lead investigations, and provide scientific training to laboratory leadership. Ensure detailed, compliant documentation of all service activities and act as the primary contact for customer complaints involving company instrumentation. This 100% on-site role requires 3+ years of experience in clinical lab automation and involves 10% local travel between two sites.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree Biomedical Engineering, Medical Laboratory Science, Electronics, or related field
- 3+ Years 3–7+ years of experience in clinical lab automation, medical devices, or advanced field service roles
- Strong hands-on diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical, software, and network components
- Scientific knowledge is sufficient to support assay behavior, workflow design, and laboratory performance discussions
- 10% Local Travel between two sites
- Individuals hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work
- Individuals hired will be subject to a background check and drug screening where permitted by law
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Biomedical Engineering, Medical Laboratory Science, Electronics, or related field
- Experience working in or supporting clinical laboratories (chemistry, immunoassay, hematology, molecular, etc.)
