Job Summary
Clinical Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist performs phlebotomy using venipuncture techniques to collect blood from patients of all ages and processes clinical specimens for laboratory analysis, including preparation for transport to outside labs. Follows safety, infection control and OSHA Blood Borne Pathogen guidelines. Shifts are 10 hours long, nights: Fridays and Saturdays 9 PM–7:30 AM. Concord Site may require travel to off-site locations for phlebotomy collections. Requires high school diploma or equivalent; phlebotomy training with externship and prior phlebotomy experience in healthcare are preferred. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, and perform well in emergent/crisis situations. Physical demands include lifting up to 20 pounds, standing/walking, fine motor tasks, and exposure to bloodborne pathogens and pathogens in the work environment.
