Job Summary
Collaborate with lab staff, nurses, and providers to ensure excellent patient care by receiving specimens into the laboratory information system and inputting or retrieving lab results. Process specimens for transport, distribute them to appropriate testing areas, and perform diagnostic or analytic testing under the direction of a clinical laboratory scientist. Operate and maintain laboratory automation systems while verifying instrument accuracy and troubleshooting quality control issues. Perform phlebotomy, microbiology setups, and biopsy processing as required, communicating critical results to clinical personnel and completing necessary documentation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a general lab, specimen processing or phlebotomy area or enrolled in lab related education program
Desired Qualifications
- Phlebotomy Certification or training from an accredited School or Institution
