Job Summary
Unpack and record samples shipped in accordance with regulations, then accessions specimens received for testing while identifying and reporting discrepancies. Perform data entry, maintain accurate records and documentation, and prepare inventory of supplies and reagents. Assist with equipment maintenance, bio-waste processing, and shipping of specimens to ensure timely and quality test results. Resolve routine problems, investigate labeling exceptions, and participate in performance improvement teams as required. Work 5+ hours per shift with occasional travel under <5%.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid in-state driver's license, where applicable
- Demonstrated competency in all CLA I and II tasks
- At least 1 year of clinical laboratory experience
- Demonstrated competency in all CLA II and III tasks
- At least 1 year of clinical laboratory experience, including previous experience as a Clinical Laboratory Assistant at CTS
- Demonstrated competency in all CLA I, II, III, and IV tasks
- Skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities
