Job Summary

Unpack and record samples shipped in accordance with regulations, then accessions specimens received for testing. Perform data entry, maintain accurate records and documentation, and ensure donor, patient, and employee confidentiality. Prepare and maintain inventory, pack and ship supplies or specimens, and assist with equipment maintenance and bio-waste processing. Resolve routine problems, investigate shipping or labeling exceptions, and report discrepancies to management as appropriate. Shifts require 5+ hours sitting or standing, with lifting up to 40 pounds and walking as needed. This role supports a leading nonprofit blood and plasma donor testing laboratory organization that partners with over 100 healthcare entities to test samples for infectious disease markers and screening.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid in-state driver's license, where applicable
  • Demonstrated competency in all CLA I and II tasks
  • At least 1 year of clinical laboratory experience
  • Demonstrated competency in all CLA II and III tasks
  • At least 1 year of clinical laboratory experience, including previous experience as a Clinical Laboratory Assistant at CTS
  • Demonstrated competency in all CLA I, II, III, and IV tasks
  • Trainer Certification, required for CLA IVs in Plasma Services
